Anuvaad in partnership with The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) organized a national consultation on 20th October 2023. The aim of the consultation was to discuss the strategies for promotion of ‘Healthy Eating’ and saying ‘NO’ to junk foods amongst school children. This multi-stakeholder consultation was led by Mr. Priyank Kanoongo, Chairperson, NCPCR and had participation from line departments including Health & Family Welfare, Food and Consumer Affairs, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs and leading domain experts from national and international institutions. A ‘call to action’ endorsed by experts for promotion of healthy eating habits targeting school children has been shared with NCPCR. Additionally, Anuvaad also conducted a social media campaign focused on healthy eating and impact of foods High in Fat, Salt and Sugar (HFSS) foods on children in partnership with NCPCR.
